Search the Archive
The library is currently moving all of these catalogues into a single system over the coming months. This will enable you to search all of the library's resources easily and in one place.
Information about the Archive's films and many of its sound and videorecordings is now available from the Full Catalogue. Why not try out new methods of searching the collections?
National Screen and Sound Archive of Wales: Main database- Here you will find information about the television and radio programmes recorded by the Archive over a period of more than twenty years, commercial and private videos, 78 rpm records, more recent vinyl records, compact discs, audio cassettes, private recordings on reel to reel tape, as well as some private recordings on DAT and minidisc.
The Archive's staff are on hand to give you any further help that you may require.
Film Catalogue
- There are over 3,000 films in the Archive's collection. This online catalogue contains a
representative cross-section of these, which will be added to regularly.
Although the information provided in these online catalogue entries should satisfy many research needs, further information will, in many cases, be held by the Archive. For example, Archive staff will be able to advise on the availability of fuller descriptions of films' contents than appear here. Another example is credits: in many cases a fuller credits list will be held in the Archive's database - please contact staff if you require this information.
If, following a browse of this online catalogue, you would like to find out about other films in the collection, please contact the Archive staff who will be happy to assist.
