Classic Reels on Wheels - dates announced
The Archive proudly announces the locations we'll be visiting this autumn during our annual film tour, Classic Reels on Wheels. Kicking-off at the Odeon Cinema in Wrexham, we'll be travelling across Wales and stopping at Cardigan, Holyhead and Monmouth.
This year we present a screening of the 1953 comedy "Valley of Song", described by film historian Dave Berry as ' the most endearing of all Welsh comedies'. Starring a host of Welsh actors, including Clifford Evans, Mervyn Johns and Rachel Thomas, it also features a memorable screen debut by Rachel Roberts.
In addition to the main feature, the Archive will screen rare local amateur footage and we'd like to invite you to come and enjoy your film heritage on the big screen.
